Hi Cutie Scalloped Card

I guess I am just addicted to Spring colors lately 'cause here I am, back again with another bright and bold project! And, that happens to be our challenge this week too over at AiFactory. For this card I decided to step out of my comfort zone a little & try my first shape card...yes, I said first. I usually do a variation of rectangle or square, sometimes a tag if I'm feeling really wild. (btw, sarcasm comes at no extra charge here on my blog...lol!) But this week, lo and behold, I braved a scalloped card & liked how it turned out. Of course it helped that I got to play with this adorable AiFactory digi stamp, Ella in the Clouds...isn't she super sweet?! Just love her, but of course, I love the entire Ella Line by AiFactory. So visit the AIF Store HERE to grab your very own Ella in the Clouds & check out the rest of the Ella Line, too!

You & Me. Always. - A Wall Hanging w/YMH!

This is one of my favorite photos...& I finally got around to scrapping it! It's a photo of when my hubby asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve 5 1/2 years ago. After being set up on a blind date by mutual friends, we had been dating a 1 1/2 years when he popped the question. He did so in front of both our families & it was so wonderful! As you can see in the pic, I instantly burst into tears before saying yes. His sister snapped the shot at the perfect time & this is one of my most treasured possessions. So with that in mind, I made sure to use lots of beautiful Prima flowers, lace, & bling from Your Memories Here for this wall hanging!
Supplies:
Patterned Paper/Title - Cosmo Cricket (hey sugar & circa 1934 collections)
Die Cut Plastic - KI Memories
Journaling & Date Spot - Shabby Chic Crafts
Ink - Tim Holtz Distress (walnut stain)
Adhesive - Glue Glider Pro, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Tulle Ribbon/Pen - Stash

I love the background paper I used too...but well, it's not actually paper. It is this lovely, thick, patterned plastic & I adore it's die cut shape. I also liked the masculine edge it gave to the LO. With the various shades of blue & that strong pattern, it contrasted well with the soft pinks & creams...kinda like our personalities! And the Cosmo Cricket kit from YMH keeps on giving....the kit (which is just $10 & there are 2 to choose from!) is chock full of fabulous goodies that you can use on soooo many projects! I know there are just a few left in the YMH Store so visit HERE & grab one of your own before it's too late! I also used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to dye the pretty Prima lace that sweet pink...I love how I can always use their product to make what I already have work for me! And, the YMH store is full of fun Tattered Angels products...you can check them out HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by again & letting me share this personal (& photo heavy post...LOL!) LO with you. I can't wait to finish it up with some sweet journaling! This project is also pulling double duty this week for a project over at Pile It On! Our challenge this week is Bling or Sparkle so whip something up & join us in some fun for your chance to win a fab prize! I would also love it if you would hop on over to the YMH Store & check out all of Kristina's wonderful products. And new to the store are some fab Helmar Adhesive products!! As well, don't forget to visit the YMH DT blog for some fabulous inspiration...just the other day, one of the DT gals altered a gorgeous bird cage with some beautiful Prima products! As the journaling says, I always have so much fun with my hubby! He is such a big kid & we were just meant to be together...he makes my world a better place in which to live. No matter what we do or where we go out together, we act like two teenagers in love. And since we have so much fun on our nights (or days) out, I wanted this LO to be fun, too! I love using my chalkboard glimmer mist & love how the mists look, too. Not to mention, the Prima lace used to be cream colored, but I simply spritzed it with some mist to make it that lovely shade of pink. I adore the versatility of Tattered Angels products!! I also love all the fun journaling & embellie tags...which are something I stumbled upon at Shabby Chic Crafts. They simply sell only journaling tags/spots & have a huge variety. They are uber cool & you must check them out! And that butterfly? You must check out your local $ Tree for these gems! Anniversary Photo Card...Easy Peasy!

Happy hump day everyone! Woo-hoo...we are halfway to the weekend! That's a great feeling! I wanted to pop in today & share with you a photo card I created for our son's upcoming 1st anniversary with his GF. How cute is that?! This is a photo of them wearing their homecoming mums in the backyard & I just love it. They have this cute, adorable, sweet, innocent, teenage love thing going on & we get such a kick out of it! I made the card a 5x7 size so that she could frame it if she wants; I think it will look cute that way.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Core'dinations, The Paper Studio
Patterned Paper - Jillibean Soup
Flowers/Bling/Stud Swirls - Prima
Sentiment - Close to My Heart
Distress Ink - Staz On, Tim Holtz (walnut stain)
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots

The inside of the card has an "I Love You" sentiment & plenty of room for him to journal if he decides. I was also inspired by the fab sketch at Crop Stop. This card was soooo easy to whip up & I can't wait to do more of them! They would be perfect for baby announcements, birthdays, weddings, anything. I plan on selling custom themed designs soon, so if you're interested let me know. I hope to have my Art Fire/Etsy stores up soon too so I can take orders through there. I'll be back later this week with some more Cosmo Cricket goodness for you...at least that's what I'm planning on anyway! Happy Craftin'!
