Okay, so you know how I told you that last week was very hectic with work due to a convention, but that it was made better since my bestie, Annette, flew in to go with me. Well, I thought I would post a few photos from last week, as well as a great one that I took yesterday morning of the trees turning for fall. My backyard is turning into a beautiful, colored frenzy right now and I am loving it!
The next photo is of Annette and I at a pub where the convention took place. We actually have a tradition that we go to a pub together at least once each and every year, usually during convention. Our fav so far, that we have been back to repeatedly and from which I have clothed my family in multiple t-shirts, is Kilkenney's in Tulsa. Best darn pub....EVER...and it is an authentic pub too! If you are ever that way, make sure to check it out!
The next pic is of the two of us at convention during an awards luncheon. We were so pooped by this time! But isn't she gorgeous! My bestie is definitely a hottie! LOL!
And last, but not least, is a photo of our yummy fondue that we had at the Melting Pot to culminate a week of hard work mixed with a little fun coming to an end. Our friend and co-worker, Lisa, joined us and we had a blast! The funny thing was, every fondue we ordered ended up having alcohol in it. The cheddar fondue had beer, the entree broth had red wine, and the desert fondue had an amaretto liquor. Not to mention we ordered a bottle of wine (which i must add, was like the best friggin' wine ever!), plus had mixed drinks too! The waitress was cracking up at us and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! Plus, to make it even better - it was our boss' treat! Yep, he paid for it and we love him for that too!
So, did everyone have a great Halloween? We ended up going to Frontier City's Fright Fest with some free passes that my boss had given us a while back. Our son wanted to do that instead of trick or treating, but we still had a good time. I will make sure to post some pics from Fright Fest later on! Happy Scrapping!
