Summer Song...

I just wanna go on the record and say that I love For the Record, a super fab Echo Park Kit! I've never really played with Echo Park much before, but when I seen this kit a few months ago I just knew I had to have it. I recently pulled it out & have been super inspired by the variety of projects I can create with it! This LO features a few photos from last month when my niece & nephew came up to visit from San Antonio. My awesome mom-in-law & I took them to the pool & had a blast! They are just growing up so fast & I wish they would move back closer to us...we really miss them all lots. Anyway, these papers, embellies, letters & journaling spot were just perfect for this project. I'm already planning my next project with this kit in my head!

Supplies
All products from Echo Park's For the Record Kit except:
Distress Ink - Tim Holtz (walnut stain)
Black Tiny Type - Cosmo Cricket
Red Thickers - American Crafts
Navy Blue Cardstock - Creative Memories
Adhesive - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue

This LO was also based on this fabulous sketch at PageMaps & I so love me some PageMaps! It is such an awesome resource for inspiration. Whenever I feel like I am stuck in crafty mojo rut, I just grab my sketch book & start flipping through. It never fails to give me just the right amount of motivation to get scrappin'! Once again I just wanna remind you that the Paper Issues "Sweet" link party is still going on through Sunday. All you have to is link up any project, old or new, that you think is sweet for a chance to be a featured artist! Visit the link HERE to check it all out. Well, I'm off to work on some more crafty goodness. If I don't see ya before then, make sure you check back Tuesday for my next Your Memories Here DT post...it's TEAriffic! LOL! Until then, Happy Craftin'!

You/Me....and some Odds & Ends!

Oh, I am totally in love with Cosmo Cricket's Odds and Ends Collection! Are ya surprised? LOL! I am usually a sucker for all things Cosmo anyway, but this kit is just fabulous & versatile. And so perfect to make those cute little rosettes with too, don't ya think? I used a couple of my border punches on the edges of some border strips in the kit to give the rosettes a sweet little edge. Love how they turned out! Now, one thing I do when I'm making rosettes, & I realize this may not be new to anyone, but I use my score tool to keep my marks even where I fan fold. It also makes it way easier to fold them. Just a little tip to share with you that I found works super well for me!

Supplies
All Patterned Paper, Blue Cardstock, & Journaling Spot from Cosmo Cricket's Odds & Ends Collection
Red Cardstock - Recollections
Border Punches - Stampin' Up, Martha Stewart
Distress Ink - Tim Holtz (walnut stain)
Red Thickers - American Crafts
Ribbon - May Arts
Pearls & Rhinestone Swirls - Prima Marketing
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Buttons, Twine - Stash

And don't you just love that red chipboard alpha too?! Eeek, I am so addicted to it & have used it on several projects already! I just love the way the font looks almost like leather up close, due to the faux stitching. Thickers by American Crafts are just another one of my many addictions! I also used an old PageMaps sketch from February 2011 as my inspiration. It's actually a 2 page LO sketch, but I decided to just use the left side for inspiration. That's the great thing about sketches....they can be made to suit you!

Well, check back in another day or so because I have another LO to share with you. This one will feature Echo Park's For the Record Kit and has a super summery vibe! Oh, and don't forget to link up to the "sweet" party going on at Paper Issues right now. You have until Sunday to join us & have the opportunity to be a featured artist! Just CLICK HERE to play along.
Until next time, Happy Craftin'!
I'm also entering my LO into the following challenges!

Write This Down...a LO featuring Prima's Road Trip collection!

Hello again my crafty peeps! So glad to be back to share with you another LO I whipped up using some more amazing Prima products from the Your Memories Here Store. I am really liking Prima's Road Trip line; it has been just perfect to scrap our recent Fourth of July trip to the lake with friends.

I absolutely love hanging out on the pontoon boat with everyone. At one point, when were heading back to our campsite, everything was just so peaceful on the lake. It was just a perfect moment & I didn't want to forget it. So, I took a photo of my feet kicked back & relaxing, watching the waves that went on for miles. It was hot, but there was a great breeze blowing & everything just felt...right. So that's where this LO came from, my need to "write this down" so I could always remember it!

Supplies
Red Tiny Type - Cosmo Cricket
Red Stitched Chipboard Letters - American Crafts
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue

Thanks so much for stopping by y'all! It always totally makes my day! I also hope you'll stop by the YMH Store & check out all the fabulous products that are offered. As well, make sure to swing by the YMH DT site for some gorgeous inspiration from the other DT gals. They are super talented & there are so many amazing projects to see. Well, I'm off to work on some more LO's...I've been on a scrappy roll lately! So check back soon for those & in the meantime, Happy Craftin'!

Botanical Butterflies...

Oh, I just love butterflies & I just love how this card turned out! When I viewed the latest Fanatical about Botanical Challenge at Moxie Fab World, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with some beautiful goodies from the Your Memories Here Store. If you've noticed, I am posting for the YMH DT on a different day. From now on, I'm gonna be your Tuesday gal for the YMH Blog! That will free up my Sundays a little from so many posts & give all my DT projects a little more face time on my blog...yay!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper/Lace Ribbon/Rhinestones & Pearls - Prima
Glimmer Mist (pearl) - Tattered Angels
Distress Ink (walnut stain) - Tim Holtz
Cardstock - The Paper Studio
Ink - Staz On
Sentiment - Stampin' Up!
Ribbon Roses - American Crafts
Leaf - Making Memories
Doilie - Wilton
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue

Now, about this card! First, you can grab this absolutely divinely gorgeous Prima paper HERE. It is so beautiful & perfect for "fussy cutting" like I did with the dimensional butterflies I added. Second, the card looks even prettier in person because of all the fabulous shimmer provided by the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl that I liberally spritzed all over; the shine is just gorgeous & I wish you could see it better! And last, those pretty roses are courtesy of some lovely AC ribbon that I trimmed up to get several separate flowers. I love how the look turned out. The ribbon is so versatile! I also trimmed up the adhesive Prima Crystals & Pearls to use on several spots. I almost always do this with my Prima swirls because not only does it give me more bang for my buck, but it also allows me to use the yummy product in just the right amounts! So, don't forget to visit the YMH Store for great bargains & the YMH Blog for amazing inspiration!

Now, we still have an amazing challenge going on over at Paper Issues Blog too! Just link up any of your fabulous paper projects, past or current, to our "Sweet" themed linking party. Anything you deem to be perfectly sweet is perfectly fine to link up; we are all about the inspiration at PI my crafty peeps!! You'll even find this beautifully sweet card linked up over there too, so pop on over HERE!! Now, I am off to get craftin' on a few other projects I need to work on this week so make sure to check back in a few days.
Until then, Happy Craftin'!

I just love this LO I whipped up for Your Memories Here because not only was I able to get soooo many photos on one page (thank you walgreen's collage sheets!), but I was totally inspired by this fabulous paper. When the fabulous Kristina (YMH Owner) sent me some of Prima's Road Trip Collection I just knew what I was going to use it for. Plus the fact that it was cute, cute, cute, didn't hurt at all either! I loved all the journaling spots, borders & embellies that I could trim from the different papers, & that wood grain pattern is to die for...it comes in both the green I used here & a natural brown. Just awesome! The photos are from a recent outing with friends at the lake...we are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. And yeppers, that is me in the cowboy hat...LOL! My hubby liked it so that was good enough for me ;0)

My Guys...a Red, White & Blue Creation for Paper Issues!

I am so excited to be sharing with you my first creation as a Creative Team Member for Paper Issues! Woo-Hoo! I was just tickled pink when I got the email saying I had made the team & am so happy to be able to share with you all the wonderful things that makes Paper Issues so very special! PI focuses on all things created with paper & the inspiration it can bring. I just love that! I can visit one amazing site for LO, card, altered art, home decor ideas & more...so very cool. Every couple weeks a themed link party is featured & everyone just links up their favorite paper creations, past or present, that coordinate with the current theme. And what's really awesome is that when you link up, you have the chance to be a featured artist at Paper Issues - so neat!

The current link party going on at Paper Issues is a Red, White & Blue theme. There is still a little bit of time left so hop on over & check out some of the awesome paper creations that have been featured & linked up. I decided to do a little bit of a non-traditional Red, White & Blue project with a LO highlighting the men in my life! Well, except the dog...he is definitely one of the "men" in my life but he isn't in this photo...LOL! Pictured above are my son, hubby, son's best friend, & our cousin. Somehow all these crazy guys bring so much joy & happiness into my life. They keep me laughing, keep me going & make me feel blessed beyond belief!

So, the majority of the products I used on this LO are from Echo Park's For the Record Collection. I just love it so much, & besides, are you not happy to see me creating with something other than Cosmo Cricket...LOL! There are so many fun elements to this kit & endless possibilities. Just fun, fun, fun! And the LO sketch I found HERE. Just knew what I wanted to do as soon as I seen it. I just love great inspiration, don't you?!

Summer Love...(and sorry for the break!)

Well, hello again my crafty peeps! Hope you are all doing well out & about in blog land, and I have to admit I am happy to be back. I had to take a short unexpected absence from crafting due to a very bad flare up with my arthritis & fibromyalgia. However, after some steroid shots & steroid pack to take at home (and large doses of pain meds...lol!), I am on the mend & hope to feel back up to par by next week. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a LO I whipped up before I got sick that, of course, features some yummy Cosmo Cricket products! It is also based on this sketch HERE on the Cosmo Cricket blog & I really like how it turned out. I think the summery colors really go with the theme & mood well. The photos are pretty recent, taken in May at a friend's wedding (it was beautiful & fun!), so of course I had to include some lovely photos of the bride & groom, along with the pic of me & the hubby!

All supplies by Cosmo Cricket (DeLovely & Circa 1932) except:
Journaling Spot - Shabby Chic Crafts
Distress Ink - Tim Holtz
White Cardstock  - CTMH
