Live Out Loud...

Happy Tuesday y'all! I'm back to share with you a project for Your Memories Here that I'm hoping will rock your world...pun intended! :0) As y'all know I love me some Prima Marketing products, and this week I wanted to show you some versatility using Prima on this rockin' guy LO featuring our son. Usually when I use Prima, and I know most others do this too, we make everything soft, pretty, & detailed because their products are just so gorgeous. However, some of their prettiest papers have a grungier flip side that are just perfect to showcase the men in our life! And like always, you can find the most fabulous Prima products including papers, flowers, ribbons, stamps, crystals & more RIGHT HERE in the YMH Store.

One of my favorite things about this LO are the letters; I just love how they turned out when I spritzed them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Charcoal. They almost look like metal & really have some depth to them too. I also love that I was able to recycle several items such as the corrugated cardboard stars, which used to be a coffee wrapper, and the fabric journaling spot, which was a Van's shoe tag in a previous life. I always save all the tags off our son's shoes/clothes because most of them are pretty cool & just perfect for LO's like this. It also makes the LO a little more personal. I also spritzed a little charcoal glimmer mist on the cardboard stars to help them stand out. The arrow & the cardboard stars I cut by hand using a template, then dabbed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on them.

Supplies
Patterned Paper - Prima (blue), Junkitz (red)
Red Stars - Cricut/Indie Art Cartridge
Cardstock - Bazzill
Large Letters - Heidi Swapp
Adhesive - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Journaling Pen - Sakura Jelly Roll (white), Sharpie (black)
Recycled - Van's Tag, Corrugated Cardboard

Blessed...

Don't you just love the sweet versatility of Prima Marketing products? I just love how I can use them on a wide variety of projects, plus they always go so perfectly with my addiction to Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists! So this week for my Your Memories Here DT post, I decided to scrap some recent photos of myself and journal about all the wonderful blessings in my life. Life gets hard sometimes and it is so easy to get down about things, but I think counting your blessings helps keep things in a much needed perspective. Also, I'm pretty bad about never scrapping myself. I am usually the one always taking the photos & scrapping about everything else...but me. Then I realized that I need to do this too so my son has some more personal pages to look back on when he's older. And I can look back and realize exactly how old I've gotten...LOL!

The patterned paper is from Prima's Madeline Collection & is so lovely. The butterflies are from another sheet of Prima paper that I used just to do some fussy cutting. And the journaling spot is actually some recycled Prima rub on packaging. I just love their packaging because they always make it pretty enough to reuse! I wish I knew the manufacturer for the felt title, but I don't. I just picked it up at my LSS a few years ago & am finally using it. It was this bold orange but I used a couple of Tattered Angles Mists (chalkboard mist in peacok & glimmer mists in fall breeze and vintage rose) to make it a more muted olive and match the paper better. Also, believe it or not, this was my first time using Perfect Pearls! I decided to pick up a bottle a few weeks ago to try it out & boy, have I been missing out. They are soooo easy to use & I absolutely loved the results! I can quickly see these becoming my newest addiction!

Tea for Two...

Happy Tuesday y'all! Hope everyone had a terrific weekend! I am so happy to be back this week to share another fabulous Your Memories Here DT project with you. I just love designing for the YMH Store...mostly because Kristina, the owner, is so amazing to work & incredibly talented to boot. I feel so blessed to be starting my 3rd DT term with her as I have loved designing with her awesome products so much. And speaking of designing, this week I have a sweet little shabby card to show off. I used lots of Prima Marketing paper & bling from the YMH Store on this one, as well as little bit of upcycled packaging too! That little die cut patterned border at the bottom, well it used to be the edge of some Prima Rub Ons packaging. I just trimmed it, inked it & glued it down. I love recycling & Prima does an amazing job with their packaging so its easy to re-use! And as you can see, I'm kinda in love with rosettes again right now since this is the 2nd post in a week that's included them. They are just so easy & fun to make...such a great DIY embellie for any project!

Supplies
Cardstock - The Paper Studio
Stamp & Sentiment - Mark's Finest Papers
Ink - Staz On
Pearl Strand - Offray
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Pop Dots, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue

And don't you just adore that sweet little teacup stamp? It is part of a set from Mark's Finest Papers that I won a little while ago & am just now breaking out. I love all the sweet images in this set & can't wait to create some more projects with them. I hope you'll hop on over to the YMH Store & see all the fabulous Prima Marketing products, including some of the latest CHA releases! The prices are great & shipping is wonderful too. And, if you're needing some inspiration why not visit the YMH DT blog? There are some very talented designers there showcasing some neat techniques, products, & projects! Glory Days...featuring Prima's Road Trip Collection!

Whew! Last post for the day my crafty peeps! At least I think it is...hehehe! I just love this LO I whipped up for Your Memories Here because not only was I able to get soooo many photos on one page (thank you walgreen's collage sheets!), but I was totally inspired by this fabulous paper. When the fabulous Kristina (YMH Owner) sent me some of Prima's Road Trip Collection I just knew what I was going to use it for. Plus the fact that it was cute, cute, cute, didn't hurt at all either! I loved all the journaling spots, borders & embellies that I could trim from the different papers, & that wood grain pattern is to die for...it comes in both the green I used here & a natural brown. Just awesome! The photos are from a recent outing with friends at the lake...we are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. And yeppers, that is me in the cowboy hat...LOL! My hubby liked it so that was good enough for me ;0)
