Isn't this little Edward stamp from The Greeting Farm absolutely adorable??!! I thought so too when I had seen it for the very first time on a card by the awesome Stephanie, who operates Scrapsketch. You can check out her card here, by the way! I knew I just had to do a birthday card for my fabulous sister-in-law, Kellie, who loves Edward and the Twilight Saga as much as I do!
As I mentioned above, cutie patootie Edward is from The Greeting Farm. After coloring him with my watercolor pencils, I made sure to add some diamond Stickles to make sure his skin sparkled when the light hit it! LOL! The cardstock is Bazill, the polka dot paper is We R Memory Keepers, and the rest of the patterned paper is Making Memories. The ribbon is American Craft & I used my Cricut Mini Monograms cart to cut the scalloped circle and regular circle. The sentiment is leftover letter stickers from my stash.
The layout for this card came from Mojo Monday's weekly sketch challenge. I love their sketches and knew it was just perfect for this card. I had an absolute blast making this card & my son got a big kick out of "sparkly" Edward! If you have a chance, hop on over to Mojo Monday's site and check out the challenge and their awesome DT projects! Lots of great inspiration!
Now, I am so very impatiently awaiting the end of my day as a bunch of us gals (Twi-hard moms!) are going to see New Moon tonight for Kellie's birthday! We pre-ordered the tickets about a month ago & I am so very psyched! I love, love, love the books and have read them three times this year alone, not counting when I read them last year too! I am definitely Team Edward and my hubby even bought me a poster for my scrap room...such a sweetie that hubby of mine! So yes, I guess I am a little obsessed, but it is so much fun! I am not a romance kind of gal, but there is something about this love story that definitely speaks to me. And with all the things that have gone on this week, I am definitely glad for an evening to get away for a little while too. So, are any of you going to see New Moon this weekend?
